Honouring the Sacredness of Birth, Finding Grace in Every Challenge

At Sacred Grace Beginnings, our mission is to honor the sacredness of birth and support each woman as she embarks on the profound journey of bringing new life into the world. We believe that every birth is a sacred space, blessed by the presence of loved ones, ancestors, and the spirit that guides this transformative experience. Our goal is to provide compassionate care and unwavering support through the joys and challenges of pregnancy, birth, and postpartum. We are dedicated to helping women find grace in every moment of their birth experience, ensuring that they feel cherished, empowered, and supported throughout their journey.

DIANA STEADMAN, BScN, RYT 500, RPYT

My name is Diana Steadman, and I am a Registered Prenatal Yoga Teacher and Birth & Postpartum Doula serving Kemptville, Smiths Falls, Winchester & surrounding areas.

With twenty years experience as a nurse, six years teaching yoga and two wonderful years as a birth doula, my journey in maternal health has been deeply rewarding. In 2023, I completed an intensive 300-hour yoga teacher training program at Awakened Spirit Yoga, which included specialized training as a birth doula and Lamaze educator. My passion for supporting expectant parents stems from my personal experience with postpartum mood disorder following the birth of my first son in 2006. From prenatal yoga classes, to childbirth preparation sessions in your home, I am committed to creating a nurturing and enlightening environment where expectant parents can feel supported, share their experiences, and prepare for the birth of their baby.

Before becoming a doula and yoga instructor, I earned my Bachelor of Nursing Science degree from Queen’s University in 2004 and spent ten years working in Public Health. My experience includes facilitating prenatal education courses and postpartum support groups through the Healthy Babies Healthy Children program. Although I am currently a non-practicing Registered Nurse, my background in nursing continues to inform my approach to maternal care.

WHY I AM PASSIONATE ABOUT BIRTH
