Spring is in the air!

Spring is definitely in the air. In talking with students over this past week, I can tell that the transition to spring is a mixed bag. I’ve heard from many who are feeling energized with some getting started on new projects and spring cleaning. While there were many of you who expressed that you’re feeling a lull or low energy. 

However you are feeling, know that the transition to spring can be an up and down kind of feeling. Some days you may feel a burst of energy, followed by a few days where you need to turn inward and conserve. 

A regular practice during this time can be helpful for many reasons. Turning inwards and getting quiet through practice helps us to tap into our intuition. This deep sense of inner knowing allows us to make decisions from the heart guided by wisdom. As we begin to feel surges in energy at this time of year it can be easy to get started on a bunch of new projects and creative endeavours with the risk of spreading ourselves thin. Through our practice we can stay grounded and connected to our inner self allowing us to be sure that whatever we are putting our energy into is in line with what is right for us. Saying yes to what resonates with our true purpose and letting go of what isn’t serving our highest good. 

Your practice helps you to put down roots to keep you grounded, centred and balanced so that you are not easily swept away by the restless, frantic energy of the growing season. 

However you are feeling this spring I hope that your practice helps you to put down roots so that you may bloom big and bright. ❤️
